W. Earl Tennant Wilbur Earl Tennant, 67 of New England passed away suddenly at his residence May 15, 2009. He was born at New England, a son of the late Blaine Tennant and Lydia (Wildman) Tennant. Earl retired from the WV Department of Highways as an equipment operator.

In the process of the suit, Bilott uncovered DuPont internal documentation of PFOA exposure in plant workers and groundwater.

The farmer, Wilbur Tennant, told him chemical company DuPont had purchased land adjacent to his property to use as a non-hazardous landfill for its local factory, but something wasn’t right: the DuPont in 2017 agreed to pay more than $600 million in a settlement.
